Strange flower

Reasonable day. Picture is of some plant the people put in, nice green leaves. A few weeks ago  a pod appeared and these burst out.

In the evening we went to see "Blitz". It was pretty good as Steve McQueen is a good director (and comes from my borough) It's a 12A so a bit low on gore but it turns out that he deliberately made it so that children could watch a proper film rather than all the franchise stuff.
Also, not a spoiler, he reveals that not all Londoners were lovely people during that time and, for music fans, fine performance by Paul Weller as a grandfather.
