a lifetime burning

November Bee

I'm nearly there with my preparations for tomorrow's departure - charging batteries, printing documents as backup,  etc.  In the meantime we have a lovely Autumnal day, while the sky is clear and the air cold.  There were some bees at work in the warmest corner of the garden.

Most of the leaves have fallen from the trees in our garden, but there is still plenty of colour on many of the trees locally.  It would normally be wet-ish in the part of Ecuador that I'm starting off in (and indeed it has been raining today), but there's been an El Niño effect so Ecuador has been much drier than it would normally be.
