A beaver moon and an unexpected gift.
According to Prof Google, November's full moon is called the Beaver Moon. The name was chosen because this is the time of year when beavers start sheltering in their lodges after having prepared food stores for the winter. Anyway, late this afternoon the moon was high in the sky over the Sands of Forvie.
Extra. Four score years ago today, at 4 in the morning, I came into this world. To help me celebrate, our generous government has seen fit to increase my state pension by 25 pence per week. Any advice on how best to spend this unexpected windfall will be most gratefully received!
