Fishing

I don't remember seeing a heron fishing like this before, with half of its beak (and half its body) under the water.  Unfortunately two people decided to have a swim where they're not allowed to, so I never got to see if the tactic was successful.

Anyway this was near lunchtime, after the sun had come out.  I was walking into town through the reserve because the buses aren't running properly until the first week of December, which is aggravating but unavoidable.

The rest of the day's been peaceful, and in a minute I'll be turning my comments back on.  Sorry about yesterday, I should explain I'm having difficulties because my meds have been changed and it's throwing around both sleep and pain reduction patterns, which is thoroughly discombobulating.  However, I'm hoping things will come back together again very soon and have now turned comments back on.
