Tidy Garden

The gardener has been here all afternoon and I'm really pleased with where we have got to. She's tidied up everything that needed it, and even managed to do the lawns and edging, front as well as back.  She also trimmed the jasmine which was on my to do list. We have another visit booked for December but I don't think we will need it. 

My contribution to the day was moving the bird bath to a position under the kitchen window where the water feature used to be. You might be able to make it out in the bottom of the blip. It looks good there and will now be regularly filled as it is right next to the outside tap. We need to find a statue to go in the space where it used to stand.

The next stage in our project will be further development. They keep asking us what do we want/like, but we don't know! Ground cover was mentioned quite a few times. We also discussed my failure with bulbs and came to the conclusion that as we don't get squirrels the gnomes must be stealing them.

It was getting dark when she left so for a diary blip I got a shot of the patio. You just have to imagine a really tidy lawn and garden beyond, into the darkness.

Our friends are in Vietnam or Cambodia now. As I said, they are more adventurous than us.
