Watery sunset
More dramatic thunder today with rain like silver needles -- quite beautiful the way they were lit up by the sun. I tried to take a picture but only ended up bumping my head on the open window (no stitches required this time! I think I must have some sort of proprioception deficiency as I have scant awareness of where my height is in relation to things I can hit my head on...)
So instead I'm blipping the sunset on Victoria Park pond. I haven't been there for a couple of weeks. The cygnets have lost most of their fluff and are mainly proper feathers and swan-shaped now. I saw a pair of little grebes there for the first time, hiding among the sea of sleeping ducks, and a pair of fox cubs that I stood and watched for a while. They were running back and forth and jumping up as if on springs just like lambs do. They didn't seem to be bothered by me watching them at all. It was a bit too dim though to get any decent photos... maybe another evening.
I've now gone TWO DAYS without ice cream. TWO DAYS!
