Intermittent Starling

Starling numbers seem to vary hugely in the area. Of course numbers dwindle during the breeding season when they disappear to pair up. At other times, we can get an invasion of over 30 birds, and we sometimes see mini murmurations over the fields. At the moment, they seem to be dropping in in small numbers, but I wonder if that will grow if the temperatures drop, as forecast.
