Travelling
So, jetsetters that we are today, we got a taxi to the airport in Prague, flew into Gatwick, and picked up the car, which had been parked there.
The car park exit tried to charge us £240 in order to raise the barrier so that we could leave, despite the fact that we had pre booked and paid already, and it was nowhere near that much money! Apparently the problem is that the scanners can’t understand foreign numberplates! Here we go again!
A cheerful human overrode the system and let us out luckily, and we drove to Petersfield and loaded up the car with the new three-legged ladder Mr F had bought, and eventually boarded the ferry at Portsmouth.
Here’s the new ladder, securely tied to the roof as we queued for the ferry!
Its been a long day!
