Losing the Light
Seems to be a theme with me these days - I let the daylight get away from me and find myself rushing out in less-than-ideal light to try to grab a few shots. Fortunately, our garden is full of the usual winter birds now so I am not at a loss of subjects. Today's featured player is a male White-breasted Nuthatch - charismatic and friendly little birds.
I had a virtual yoga class today that was exceptionally good - I was sorry when it was over. And in a few hours, Hubs and I will be having a virtual dinner via FaceTime with Peg which is always lots of fun. I am even splurging on a little wine tonight - a Savignon from New Zealand. I so seldom have alcohol now that one glass will go straight to my head! I guess I'm what one would call a cheap date now.
I gave myself a challenge of reading 60 books this year and am pleased to say that I just started on #59 last night! I do all my reading on Kindle as it is much easier for me to hold that paper or hardback books. And while I miss the smell and feel of paper, I like having my whole reading library available in my hand. I love reading - it transports me. My current read is by Kate Quinn who writes very well researched historical fiction. This one takes place during Hadrian's reign as Emperor of Rome in A.D. 117-138 - it makes the current political theatrics in the US seem nearly tame.
