A Night to Remember
First, many thanks for the anniversary congratulations. All were very much appreciated.
Brush High School Wall of Achievement Induction. A handful of graduates are chosen almost every year to be honored by this middle class suburban public school. This year, a couple of Mr. Mole's classmates/friends were inducted along with three others. In the afternoon, the inductees spent one-on-three time with high achieving students, rotating in small groups, to discuss their plans, questions, and concerns about their futures.
The induction of the alumni was held over dinner at LaVera Party Center. Each inductee made a short inspirational speech directed at the students. After dinner, the audience was treated to a Bartok duet by two inductees, NYC violin virtuosos Richard Rood and Phil Setzer . Richard was inspired to become a violinist when in the first grade, he heard Phil (5 years Richard's senior) perform at a school function. It was serendipitous that they were selected in the same year. Their music was a real treat for the audience.
Bottom left shows John Slosar, retired businessman, who traveled from his home in Hong Kong for this event. His accomplishments are too many to list.
Bottom left shows some of the students who participated in the evening. We met old friends, teachers, and administrators. It was an uplifting and inspirational event for everyone and spoke to the excellent education provided.
