Breaking bread

A hummingbird, initially wary, joined a verdin for lunch. I don't know if they enjoyed each other's company but they shared peacefully; no one chased the other away. That was after the stare down.  Birds of different species don't usually like to share so I was surprised.

I was supposed to go with several others to Rooster Cogburn's Ostrich Ranch but I got a call from a doctor who wanted to see me this morning. I went there 5 years ago with FotoAlex. Here's the blip from that day. I hope I can get there again before too long.

Thanks for the comments, stars and hearts on yesterday's hummingbird. I'm grateful.
