Out in the country
Today I went out for the day with my brother and his son. We drove down into Surrey, to visit the Lovelace bridges at East Horsley. These were built by Lord Lovelace in the 1860s to carry out timber from his forests.
Then followed lunch at the Duke of Wellington, a pub in East Horsley and my Blip today. The next stop was for a walk along the Wey and Arun canal near the aerodrome at Dunsfold.
Back to civilisation and a visit to my brother's other son's family, then back to my sister's. Five minutes later we were off to the White Hart pub in Hampton Wick to have a meal with my 'Australian' brother, his wife, his daughter and her boyfriend. A good evening was had by all, now a quick Blip and off to bed!
Quote of the Day: 'There is nothing which has yet been contrived by man, by which so much happiness is produced as by a good tavern.' - Samuel Johnson.
