A walk in the lily pads

There I was on the dock and was lucky enough to spot this blue heron. I used my telephoto lens to the max and still didn't get a close shot. So, went to my neighbors dock as was able to get a tiny bit closer. I'm thinking this is a "little blue heron". Those in the know, please confirm!
