Today and....
The extra photo is from 2 years ago when I worked on the property. The owner cut down some overgrown shrubs in front of the house. The stumps are still there, and I will see what they are like to get out. Plus there is a multiflora rose beside the steps, and it must be removed too. There are a couple of hostas under the windows, they will be removed as they are the solid, boring green ones.
The plants, both indoor and outdoor have all been moved to the new place. The back of the truck is a muddy mess right now. It rained all morning, not a heavy rain, just enough to make things messy. Stephanie and I put the indoor plants in plastic bins and she took them over in her car. I need to get my 6 foot table moved over, maybe on Monday, so I can get some of the plants off the floor in the office. Otherwise it will be hard to move furniture into that room.
As of tonight, most of the living room has been packed. I just have the kitchen left to do.
I am still trying to figure out where I am going to put things in the living room.
I had an unusual bird in the yard here this afternoon. I was just going out the door to get some errands done and the bird was on the front doorstep when I opened the door. I didn't have my camera, and of course it flew into the trees when I opened the door. It might be a thrush, it was about the size and shape of a robin, but definitely not a robin. I did hear a different bird song one day this week. Hopefully I will see it again before I leave.
There are lots of birds in the green belt behind my new place. One woman that I have chatted with lives on the next street over, her yard also back onto the green belt. She reported a western tanager earlier today.
