On Some Days

Beautiful Day . . . U2

A day of two halves.  The morning was warm and sunny and I walked around a Christmas Fair.  I bought one special Christmas bauble.
I then went to two garden nurseries in the country looking for a weeping Japanese maple.  The first place had tall ones and the second was closed.  I did get this view across the vines from that second road.  Finally back to the garden centre behind Connings vegie market shop.  When I moved here they were growing all sorts of interesting plants but slowly they have moved to the boring plants people in the boring grey and white new homes want.  So judgemental I know.  But they did have three dwarf maples with bright red foliage in spring, turning green with purple/bronze overlays, and rich red tones for autumn.  What a clever wee tree or plant breeder. I picked the one with the best shape.  More judgement.
The afternoon has turned showery so the maple isn't planted.
