Sgwarnog: In the Field

Transcendent

I realise this picture is a technical monstrosity, but I kind of like the atmosphere created  with the final outcome and it’s various elements, particularly the double corona.

I’d been in work during the day, trying to ignore the build of the *mas market that’s been going on all week and that I have to walk through on my way to and from the station. I managed to get back home, grab some tea and then head out again for some live music in Saltaire, hence finding myself in a position to enjoy Salt’s Mill by night with supermoon.

The gig was Hannah James and Toby Kuhn - possibly categorisable as chamber folk give Hannah is an accordionist and Toby a cellist, but it was a transcendent mix, probably best not labelled.  All of the elements were there for me: an amazing voice, great songwriting and haunting music. Probably my gig of the year so far, and no hesitation in bringing a nice vinyl copy of their album home with me. Coming your way over the next week: Birmingham, Bath, Exteter, Penzance & Abergavenny.
