Warton Crag

There are two distinct and substantial limestone hills in the Arnside / Silverdale National Landscape.
They are Arnside Knott which has appeared many times on this Blipsite, and Warton Crag, which has not featured very often.
Arnside Knott reaches 159 metres above sea level.
Warton Crag reaches the giddy height of 163 metres.
This is a fact that we in Arnside keep very quiet about.
Today’s Blip should not have been a landscape photo.
We were at this point to look for and hopefully Blip a group of Cattle Egrets which we had been told about. But they had gone into hiding.
We may have another try. I have seen them on European holidays but it would be nice to see them near home.
