Final ...

... Supermoon of 2024.

AKA: Beaver Moon ... November's full Moon is called the Beaver Moon, probably because beavers are particularly active at this time of year as they prepare for the winter months ahead. Another interpretation is that Native American tribes would set beaver traps before the swamps froze, ensuring a supply of warm winter furs.


I was motivated by seeing a fellow blipper's Supermoon shots on Facebook tonight.  So a little after 7 pm I was standing out in the cold getting some of my own.  This is the last Supermoon of the year ... and the last one until October 7, 2025!  Then this is followed by two other Supermoons in November 2025 and December 2025.  Cool stuff!
