Shelter

This morning I met with a friend for a walk at a Hampshire woodland. She acquired a young dog (called Otter) in the summer and is keen to socialise it. So Merlin and I joined her and Otter for a wander.

This is one of several dens in an area of conifers used for bushcraft lessons. As a child I’d have loved building and playing in this kind of shelter. Perhaps I should build something like this at the allotment when my existing shelter needs replacing!

Good :
- To experience the woodland in autumn including the vibrant russet and yellow colours in the beech and sweet chestnut trees.
- To return home to a bowl of homemade soup and bread.
- To have another episode of Bake Off to catch-up with this evening!
