Unexpected alternative walk

Another sunny day, but a little chillier. The "Ladies who travelled" had a lovely meal at the Busfeild Arms yesterday, but I forgot to take a photo! Having seen that some clearing and tidying up had been done at Baxter's pond in St Ives Estate (named after my brother-in-law) I decided to go up into the estate that way to take a look.  However, my sore knee, which is now quite swollen, decided it didn't like walking up the hill, and became quite painful. As a bus was due I walked back down and caught the bus to Bingley. I decided to call at the supermarket, but walked along the canal first.  Heading that way I heard my name called as I was by the traffic lights and saw R & M waving from their electric bikes.  I walked up and onto the bridge and went down to 3 Rise Locks.  A couple of photos from that area in extras. I could have come off the towpath by Aldi, but decided to keep going to Dowley Gap locks (another couple of photos from that area). My knee had had enough by then, so I went back to The Fisherman Pub and walked along Warren Lane to the main road.  A bus came along so I caught that back to Lidl. 39 minutes to wait for a bus home so I went down to the railway station and bought a very nice latte from the little coffee cabin on the platform.  I took it into the warm waiting room and picked out a book by Anthony Horowitz to add to my pile of reading material. Bus home and son decided to make something for tea, then disappeared off with a friend in the middle of prepping it!  Could be a long wait!  :-))
