Sound of Seil
Woke before the 3:30 alarm and out of the most ghastly Premier Inn in the East by 4am with last night’s horrible dinner still swilling in our stomachs! I drove the first shift to Tebay where it was too early for the restaurant but not too early for the farm shop. Whilst important to support the local shops, this time round we realised the economic necessity of getting some supplies at Greenock prior to catching the ferry to Hunters Quay and heading over the hill to Argyll’s secret coast. We also stopped at a ticket agent for a book of ferry tickets for the future, having been tipped off by the locals that it costs double to pay on the ferry than to buy in advance. This proved true! Lovely to be ‘home’ again.
