Keswick Christmas lights switch on
Firstly, thank you to all who visited my page yesterday and made so many lovely comments about my pics - they even managed the top page of the populars!
This evening the Keswick Christmas lights switch on took place. We had an early dinner at a chicken "cafe" in Keswick, then joined the crowds in the main street. The lights were switched on by Duncan and Yvonne Booth. Duncan has suffered from MS for years and they organise the 10 in 10 (10 fells in 10 hours) every year to raise money for the MS charities. They have, over the years raised over £1 million, and were presented with the freedom of the town tonight.
Either side of the "switch on" the entertainment came from this singing group, who were really excellent, covering a wide range from Whitney, to Lady Gaga, Britney, and even Charlie Daniel's "Devil went down to Georgia".
A really good evening, with a huge amount of locals present.
