RBL Riders Branch AGM

Today I drove, yes I drove instead of riding, up to Oldbury for the Riders Branch AGM.
These things can be quite stuffy, boring, and formal, not so the Riders Branch. As the vast majority are ex service people (Veterans) there is much banter and laughter through most of it, although there are serious moments.
The photographs are of the hall, at RBL Club Oldbury, Barney the Spaniel, and the branch standard being removed from the stage area at the end of the meeting.
I could have ridden but the MX-5 does not get a lot of journey time nowadays so I thought it might benefit from the 104 mile round trip. It gets the engine good and hot, clears any crud that might have built up and dries up any moisture that may be in the exhaust system. It was a good drive up but awful on the way back with the rain and darkness, but it was nice to have a decent journey in it for a change.

And this evening, Julia treated me to a cinema trip to see Gladiator II, it was really good, pretty much as good as the original Gladiator. See Extra
