Coming and Going

I wasn't going to blip today, and then I found this boarding pass in my recently-purchased copy of Prodigal Summer. I bought it at Half-Price Books just the other day, and it reminded me why I love shopping there. These books are steeped in history, with a context we'll never fully know.

Case in point: I think this person was coming from Scottsbluff, Nebraska -- but where were they going? Why were they going there? And how did their boarding pass end up at the Half-Price Books I shop at? Odds are good I'll never know the answers, but that doesn't really matter. The mystery is what makes it interesting anyway.
