Thistle Down

Take A Walk

Take a walk with summer,
Over the hill lies a world.
Wide is the stretch to full glory,
With all of its plumage unfurled.

Take a walk with summer,
Stroll slowly down the lane.
Tilt your head to an angle,
And feel the touch of the rain.

Take a walk with summer,
Down where the stream runs blue.
Down where the meadow is gorgeous,
With flowers of every hue.

Take a walk with summer,
Amid bird-song and butterflies.
And glimpse that beautiful pathway,
In the splash of the rain-bow skies.

Take a walk with summer,
So glorious it is to behold.
For the treasure which lies before you,
Is far, more precious...than gold.
