Irrepressible

I first saw Bellowhead at their final ever festival gig, in Towersey in 2015. I next saw them at their last ever gig on their last ever tour in 2016. Then again for their reunion tour in 2022, twice. And again, tonight, on what I no longer believe is their last ever tour.

Each time they are just as loud, fun and exuberant as the previous time and the set and Jon Boden are a little bit glitzier. Tonight, even John Spiers was wearing some colour. I continue to be astonished at the band harlequin, Sam Sweeney, playing his fiddle while pogoing (how?!) and encouraging the rest of the band to join in.
