Playa del Arenal d'en Castell.

All four dogs finally got the beach walk we've been promising since the start of the month, even the aged Maxie, who bimbled along happily, sniffing every rock and bit of driftwood. Apart from a few walkers and the occasional dog, the beach was deserted, empty of the awful pedalos, sun beds and parasols that have littered the place all summer. Gone also is the actual litter: cans, cigarette packets, plastic bottles, plastic bags and used nappies (yet dogs were a no-no!). Nature (and we) can now breathe a sigh of relief until next May.
Extra are the remains of the walkway at the far end of the beach, showing the damage done by recent storms. Of course it will all be repaired and tidied up for the next tranche of invaders.
