"Quiet Today"

...On the river - just a few waterbirds warming themselves along the bank in the sunshine of the day..

... The pelicans have moved further on now that the Weir is back to normal and the paddlesteamers can once again go back and forth through the Lock..

...It was such a beautiful day after a frost - which usually it is - we decided to make a salad and take our lunch down to the riverfront to have a barbecue, it was beautiful, all so quiet, no waterbirds squabbling on the river today, no one around, just the birds..and us..

...It was cold in the shadows though, and so we didn't linger too long before walking home to make a cuppa..
