Pat Metheny - again :)

Back in 1984 I went to see Pat Metheny and his band on their 'First Circle' tour. Since then I've seen him as often as possible on his UK tours. I've seen him play with Lyle Mays many times, in a trio and quartets with young players, and particularly with Antonio Sanchez on drums, playing 'The Way Up', solo, and a memorable concert at the Barbican with the Orchestrion. I've seen him in Hull, Hammersmith Apollo - at least 4 times, Festival Hall, Manchester and various other places. Tonight was solo at the Barbican. Got a Greater Anglia 'Night out in London' ticket which was only £18 with my rail card - the station is only 10 minutes from the venue. The 'Blitz' costumes were still on display that I saw last weekend. Beautiful music, if a little tame - more synth guitar next time please Pat!
