Gloucester Lantern Parade

Shot late last night but processed today, these fantastic creatures were parading around Gloucester city centre prior to the turning on of the Christmas Tree lights - which we didn't stop for... I mean... still November, right?

It is the time of year when light becomes ever more important. The lack of it is evident, and so many traditions take to creating light displays to compensate and speak against the darkness...

The temperature outside, today, is in free fall. Bitingly cold wind, relative to what we've had up until now. It'll get colder yet, of course, but it is noticeably chilly out there. Winter drawers on... it's an old joke, but they're old drawers. ;-)
