Illuminated

Today was slightly less cold than Friday or Saturday. After two days going down to the lake, I decided to walk down to the park because there is nothing quite like walking in nature among tall trees. The sun was generous until around 4 pm.

The beech leaves were illuminated in a lovely warm glow through the filtered sunlight. I noticed that all the Tulip Trees had lost their leaves.

I felt a bit blah today with no human interaction and I'd just finished reading an excellent book in bed this morning, but with much sadness and loss towards the end.

I appreciate the company of Honey, a little warm, furry presence in my life!
