Orange is the new Urgent Care.

Eric is fine, but: he injured his leg, probably a month ago; it wasn’t sore until a few days later when bruising appeared, that went away, as bruises do, but the leg became more and more painful. So this morning we headed for Urgent Care at 9, they sent us on to the Emergency Room across town for better treatment. After Xray, CAT scan, and ultrasound tests, we learned he has a pretty big hematoma in his right calf. It’s not a blood clot, but a lot of pooled blood (maybe a cup) that his body has to reabsorb. So it’s rest, elevation, heat, and careful walking and careful everything else. Could take 6 weeks. At least it’s not life-threatening, but if it’s not one thing it’s another. 
I brought along my knitting, but even that got very old after 9 hours. Sheesh.
