Groundhog
We awoke again to try and return to Dar es Salaam but again the flight was postponed until the afternoon.
Waiting around at the hotel, it was awash with wedding parties having their photo shoots. We were a captive market as well as desperate to get home so the hotel was able to over-charge to shuttle us to the airport. A rip-off fare for a journey the length of the track Sacrifice by Elton John (the choice of which I was not mad about).
Eventually by late afternoon I rolled home 36 hours late after having amended my weekend plans for the second time. My colleague trying to reach the UK had a tougher time of it, having to rearrange international flights three times as our domestic trip shifted. All eventually reached their target destination and could rest their weary heads.
