resting

This is a view from my favourite seat in the kitchen - next to Jess on the rug, back against the Aga. I sit here most mornings while it gets light outside. D prefers a chair at the table, so I join him there for the Wordle once Jess goes outside.

I had a nice restful day, really, with a short walk after lunch. There was some sunshine, a rainbow (extra) and the rain started as I arrived back home. It didn’t last long - we now have clear skies, a bright moon, and a forecast of minus 6 overnight.

As well as some knitting, I did some long neglected chores, including mending some clothes and unblocking the vacuum cleaner (guess whose fur was clogging up the hose?)
