Shattered

……………………………………..dot com. I’d forgotten how back breaking beating up a Christmas cake is…mind you defrosting the freezer and rearranging the pullout larder didn’t help either.

The cake is baked, though I’m not sure how successfully…it always seems to overcook on the outside.  A beef casserole, soup and bolognese sauce have also been cooked in the slow cooker. Three loads of washing done and mostly tumble dried…I’m relaxing in front of the tv now. Despite running a fan heater on low for most of the day I’ve still used less than half of the electric I was allowed.

I did have MC and the wee one round for a spot of lunch before they pinched the car to go shopping…MC is lecturing in Edinburgh tomorrow so he’s kept the car and I’ll be picking the wee one up from school.
