Airborne!
I went down to the staithe at sunrise to see if I could get some photos of the high tide and sunrise, but at this time of year the sun rises over the land so sunrise is almost behind me when I am looking out to sea. There was a very strong wind making the water very choppy and I got a few photos but nothing special. It was much colder than it has been, the start of the cold front that has been forecast for this week.
After breakfast we went to Brancaster beach as Xena loves running on the beach chasing her ball. It was sunny and bright but so cold with that fresh wind off the North Sea, and there were many kite surfers out at sea enjoying the strong wind. I took photos of Xena running after her ball, as can be seen here and in the extra.
We did not last long in that cold wind so went back to the house for coffees and to clean the house. It wasn't really in need of it but we won't be able to get back here for a while now so I wanted to leave it smelling fresh! We changed all the bedding too.
Gavin and I had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Orange Tree in Thornham, and then went back to pack up the car and leave for home. The journey home was sticky as there were two accidents on the route. By now it was raining and dark so driving conditions were not that pleasant.
Back home now and planning the busy week ahead!
