Walking Wisely
We came together at FBC on a bright fall morning, but we are praying that by the end of this day, we will be thanking God for some much-needed rain! We began our service with a congregational song followed by the welcome from Matt and then we were blessed to witness a baptism followed by an uplifting arrangement of the hymn "Praise The Lord, Ye Heavens Adore Him" presented by the choir, orchestra and all our dedicated accompanists. The congregation sang a few more songs and then Pastor Wes directed our attention to Ephesians 5:15-21 in which Paul tells the Ephesian believers that the will of God that they are seeking to do is no longer a mystery but has been revealed by Jesus through the way He lived His life. We don't need to be led by our "feelings" about what is right to do, because we can know what we should be doing if we take the Great Commission seriously and go into each day of our lives asking God to use us to draw people to Him because they see the difference Jesus has made in our lives. Pastor Wes had much more to say about all this, including the importance of being connected with a local body of believers, and you can see it all in the Live-stream which would be well worth your time. At the end of this morning's service, we were blessed by a Parent-Child Dedication service, but I can't show you the pictures from that in my collage. I wish I could....
