Snappy chap

We had an interesting day after leaving Tzaneen. We took a wandering route to Hoedspruit, and without realizing it we stopped for ice in Ofcolaco, so the first extra is for suejay50, what a coincidence from your comment yesterday.!

Then it was on to the Hoedspruit reptile centre for a look at all things snappy, slithery, and swimming. I loved the Alligator Snapping Turtles. The rest of the extras are some of the others.

We are back staying in the wildlife estate and had a lovely wander through the reserve seeing animals starting to recover from an almost two year drought. There are a number of dams in the estate so water was not the problem, but the locals have been laying down feed to keep the beasts going. Nature can be very cruel.

Then we stopped by at Aerotel, just outside Hoedspruit. Interesting concept to stay the night in a plane. Not a lot of room but it looked fun.

Supper at Sleepers finished our day.
