Dead or alive?

This cable, part of the Wiseman's Ferry operating system, began to send out ripples as the ferry left the opposite bank to pick us up, seeming to be alive, almost reptilian. The Hawkesbury River is maybe 100 yds wide here,
Climbed Devine's Hill on the Great Northern Road which climbs away from the river up the great sandstone cliffs on its way to the Hunter Valley. This road is now preserved, having been built in the 1820s There's a lot of information here, if you want to know more. We had a lovely time!
