Meeting House Lane

This mix of advertising messages is a bit confusing, but it was the name of the street - Meeting House Lane - that caught my eye.  The description 'meeting house' can have several meaning, however in this part of the world it refers to a nonconformist religious place of worship.  

Newtownards of course is in the heartland of the Montgomery - Hamilton Ulster-Scots settlement, history still lingers and its influence continues.
