In defence of the realm.

I had to drop Mrs K in Gravesend this morning for an optician appointment. Jak and I had a stroll along the waterfront and a walk around the New Tavern fort. A defensive position originally built in the 18th century to defend against French or Spanish invasion being that they were allies of the newly established United States of America during the war of independence. It was re used in WW2 against possible invasion. No guns have ever been fired in anger from the position.
