Tea break

A day spent largely with Simone (part of the expected nursery transition). Part of my Nana remit today was to take her to her new nursery for a second short 'settling in' session.
It's a Forest School nursery, so all activities are outdoors (there are awnings and shelters that provide some limited protection from the weather).
I stayed for 45 mins and then left her playing with a staff member while I went for a hot drink and a cake at a cafe not far away. The session went fine.
After that we drove across to Jack and Marianna's. M is away working till tomorrow night and Jack is both exhausted by broken nights and struggling with another throat infection. So I'm staying over till tomorrow morning. Anticipating that Simone is likely to wake during the night, Jack and I are both in bed early - Jack soon after 8 pm, me at 8.45 pm :-)
Outside, it's snowing lightly.
