Silene asterias

A new flower for my garden, and I'm liking the look of it so far.  Also known (apparently) as 'cherry drumsticks'.......I've never heard either the Latin or common-name before but am looking forward to getting to know this stranger.  

Had a wonderful day of outdoorsy bits and pieces including lots of pottering in the garden.  Wonderful day :)
