To Live and Die in L.A. #2

Another sweltering day in Italy... just another good reason to go out for a bike ride under the mid day sun! lol

Yesterday along the river bank and earthen trail, the heat came through only at moments in the open when the breeze had died down.

Today on the road bike and along the blacktop, there was little escape! Even though I knew the ride out into the wind should mean an easier ride back, I wasn't to be fooled knowing energy levels and inner heat would be depleting and building respectively. Indeed!

Here's a stretch through an industrial park a few km's from home that has a wonderful abandoned / deserted feeling to it. This is always the hottest part of the ride if I come through here with large stretches of open asphalt.

Hoping another car wouldn't pass in the same moment, I was trying to capture the heat reflections on the road. Only partial success... There is some mirroring toward the end of the road, but hard to see in the picture.

Off to the mountains for the weekend!
