Taking precautions
In between a busy day of church admin I had to make time to get into the garden. The sudden hard cold snap means that the geraniums ( and the chrysanthemum - see yesterday) need to be brought inside. Or, for the moment into the unheated greenhouse.
A couple of winters ago, when the geraniums were well established, I left them in the ground and they survived to bloom the next year.
I tried the same last winter but they were either less established or more exposed to the hard frost and wind. Given the wet year we have had and the early frosts I think I’ll see how they survive in the greenhouse!
