Left for the birds

Our neighbour’s apple tree hangs partly over our garden wall but some of the apples are too high up to reach safely so I will leave them for the blackbirds and other birds to enjoy over the winter.
This morning was the first really frosty day so far but with the sun shining it was lovely being outside - just needed a woolly hat. 

The day started with a trip to the health centre to have a blood sample taken but hilarity ensued when I sat down and asked the nurse which leg she wanted to take it from . I think I must have been a vet too long !! 
She replied that she didn’t have her dog clippers with her.!
