(323) Worlds Apart
I volunteered for taxi duty to Dundee and back today which gave me six hours to explore some of the Angus and Aberdeenshire coastline. I have cycled and driven a good few miles round these parts over the years but this was my first visit with the flying cameras. The weather forecast was spot on and although I had bright sunshine for the entire day the ambient temperature hovered around zero degrees for most of my outing. As a result, the aerial footage captured today might not be quite as 'cinematic' as I'd have liked due to my lack of suitable hand attire to protect from the cold. Touchscreen controls require bare skin contact for best operation so I must make an effort to find my photographers gloves with 'flip-top' fingers.
The main blip is a shot of some oilfield/wind farm service ships berthed at Montrose. The extra is a view of Dunnottar castle, where most of the surviving buildings date back to the 15th and 16th centuries, but the site is believed to have been fortified from the early Middle Ages.
