Holiday in Rio. 

Woke up after 6. 
Was knackered. 
It was raining heavily. 
So beach walk was cancelled. 
Neil was doing some work. 
I rested. 
Went for breakfast at 10 am. 
Met Gordon and Sarah. 
Then went for a shopping stroll along bank street and the back row. 

We walked further than usual and discovered at the right turn that the road way leading up to a favela. 
I’d seen it from the distance. But was not aware that it is so close to “bank street” and that the next one actually runs under the favela. 

I read a Rio advice recently, saying. 
Don’t walk up hill you’ll end up in a favela. Very true!!


Needless to say that we did not walk up the hill.



I found some comfy shoes.
