Wishing Well
Well, it's a well anyway - not aware that anyone throws coins down there! I took this photo as I arrived for my Art session this morning. This is their cottage and you can see the barn where we meet in the background. It was a bit grey when I arrived, but watery sunshine was out by coffee time and a couple of us went and sat outside and it was very humid, but lovely looking at the view across to Arundel Castle.
Finished my triptych of paintings of the tree that I painted before and I'm pleased with the way they've turned out. The weather forecast for tomorrow is wall to wall rain, so it will be my emergency blip for then! I called in and bought a Chinese takeaway for lunch (we usually just have a pizza on a Friday so it was a treat). The couple who run it were asking my advice on how to cook gooseberries as they'd just been given some by a neighbour - it was funny to think with their cooking skills that they had never cooked or tasted gooseberries before! I recommended eating them with crumble and custard! Naughty but nice!
I will probably go out for a walk this evening again, and do a bit of typing and a couple of phone calls this afternoon. Must try and get Dad over here next week if it's a bit cooler - he hasn't really wanted to do much in this heat.
