Preparing for book club

Don’t be deceived by the solitary bottle of wine, everybody else brought a bottle too, and we drank a fair few of them. Biggest turnout for months at 12 of us, so very loud! I made my first mince pies of the year which went down well. We had read Mr Loverman by Bernadine Evaristo, and unusually nearly everyone had read it, it was definitely a hit.
